The students' union and the university are urgently appealing for food bank donations.

If you are heading home amid the Coronavirus outbreak, please consider donating your unwanted food items to the local foodbanks using the donation points across campus or from your Living accommodation.

Due to necessary restrictions on food stockpiling and a reduction in regular donations as people attempt to stock their cupboards, many Foodbanks are struggling to provide their regular service.

If you have any food items (including dry goods, tins, non-perishables and toiletries) that you won't be taking home with you, please drop them off at one of the following donation points where they will be collected by Green Lancaster volunteers and transported to the local Foodbank:

  • Bowland College foyer
  • Furness College foyer
  • Graduate College foyer
  • Lonsdale College foyer

Off-campus Living residents may make donations by emailing su.living@lancaster.ac.uk and leaving dry foods clearly marked in a bag in the kitchen.

We all need a bit of positivity at the moment and one thing that has been wonderful to see across our organisation is the community spirit and willingness of people to help those less fortunate.

If you have any questions please contact help@lancastersu.co.uk.
