The Roses Unlocked weekend comes to a close after a weekend of spectacular sport

We'd like to say a BIG thank you to everyone who helped make Roses happen in such challenging circumstances. Especially to all of the clubs & societies that came out and kept the Roses tradition alive after so long off the pitch, out of the pool and away from the camera.

It's been a fantastic weekend and return to competitive sport, VP Sport Paul McCarthy said: "Thank you to everyone who got involved over the course of this weekend, from the Sports Committee who have been coming up with ideas for this since January, to Student media who have been incredible at covering each event and making sure we can watch our teams from anywhere in the world without being there, and the staff who've worked incredibly hard to make something happen in the hardest of circumstances.

I'm gutted that we didn't clinch the overall win, but we've raised a lot of money for a very important cause, and everyone who has eaten a chilli and donated to Mind has done Lancaster proud. We know that when Roses comes home to Lancaster next year, Roses will be red again."

You can still catch up on all the action, including that scorcher of a double Darts win, epic Esports wipe out and more at LA1TV.co.uk and enjoy our highlights in the Roses Unlocked gallery

If you haven't already, there's still time to take part in the Go Red for Roses chilli eating challenge (no chilli eating necessary)! The total currently stands at almost £300 raised for Lancashire Mind. Find out more and donate.
