Writers from our SCAN newspaper have been nominated in two categories at this year's Student Publication Association Awards.

News Editor Olivia Kenny has been nominated in the Best News Story category, Adam Saraswati Rawlings has been nominated in the Best Feature Category.

Editor Conor Giblin said: "We're really pleased to have been acknowledged this year and want to thank the students' union for giving us this platform for our students to express themselves and achieve such recognition."

Winners will be announced at the SPA Awards ceremony at the University of York on Saturday April 6.
