Here at the students’ union we have a number of volunteering opportunities on offer which are a fantastic way to contribute to the local community, enhance your student experience and gain brilliant new skills. Getting involved can also benefit your CV and everything we offer contributes towards completing the Lancaster Award.

The Silver Line
The Silver Line are a charity dedicated to offering information, friendship and advice to elderly people over the phone. If you’d like to volunteer for them, you can apply here.

Lancaster Woodcraft Folk
Wanting to work with children in Lancaster? Lancaster Woodcraft Folk are looking for volunteers to help with their activities. To find out more about them and to sign up click here.

If you have any questions about community volunteering and would like to speak with someone, you can come along to our weekly drop-in session Monday’s 12-2 and speak with a member of the Communities team at the Student’s Union.
