Now is your chance to decide who you want to lead your Students’ Union. Yesterday, we sent out our first email inviting you to submit your votes via our easy voting link. There are now two days left to take part, with voting closing at 6pm on Thursday 7th March – so now it’s time to really get thinking!
And the big question is: why should you vote?
Valuing student opinions
Here at LUSU, we value every single student’s opinion; yup, that includes you. So of course, we want to be able to hear from as many of you as we can so that we can see what you want from us, your union.
The chance to have your say
Your vote matters. It’s the chance for you to have your say in how the Students’ Union is led. Something you don’t like about what we do? Something you love that you’d like us to keep? There may be candidates who agree with you!
Change that matters to you
FTOs run campaigns throughout the year on a range of different subjects. They lobby the University for change to help you and your fellow students. So, if there’s a nominee campaigning for a change or initiative that matters to you, why not give them your vote?
Influence the future It’s time to make your mark. Voting period is your time to shine and put a stamp on Lancaster’s history for you, your friends, and future students to come.
Trees for Votes!
That’s right, we’re doing it again! For every 20 votes, we’ll plant one little baby tree on university grounds. Make a change for you AND the environment!
We planted the trees from last year’s election last week. Read more about it here:
Help us represent students democratically
FTOs and LCOs represent the student body here at Lancaster University. Whether you vote or not, those elected will represent you at a senior level in the University. So, take the time now to think carefully and choose the candidate you want to represent you.
It’s super easy!
Voting is as simple as clicking the link in your fast-track email and following the instructions on your screen. Nothing to lose and all sorts to gain!
