Welcome to the Jungle!
Following all the stress of the Extrav ticket sales, you could very nearly forget that they all have themes that we should try and dress up for too. I guess it doesn’t help that all this excitement was right in the middle of exam season, but no need to worry – we still have plenty of time to sort out those costumes so here are a few thoughts to hopefully get the ideas flowing and get yourself the best costume out there.
With the jungle, there is literally so much you could come as. From the tiger, one of the top predators, to a tree – there are no limits here so make your costume as fun or as boring as you want.
Last year, I noticed quite a few people wearing onesies for costumes, and while it seems like it might get quite hot under there, there are generally quite a lot of animal onesies out there, like leopards and elephants, which all live in the jungle so that is definitely one of the quickest fixes if you’re stuck for a costume.
Another idea I came across when trying to decide on my costume were Morphsuits. There are quite a few to choose from with animal print patterns AND a lot of them were on offer the last time I checked so grab that chance quick before they sell out!
Luckily for us, animal print is very popular at the minute, so I don’t know about you but I have quite a lot of animal printed clothing in my wardrobe already. If you’re like me, why not save a few pennies and just use what you’ve already got? Couple that together with a bit of face paint and you’re good to go!
Perhaps you would rather stay as a person, well then what about going as an explorer or even safari hunter, just find yourself a hat and some khaki coloured clothing, it’s as easy as.
There are so many different costume ideas that you could go for, the list is endless. It does feel like we have still a long wait because we’ve got Founders to think about first, but it is actually only six days away! Plenty of time to get yourself sorted but you definitely need to be thinking about it now.
We are all really looking forward to see what you guys come up with at the Best Extrav of the Year! Happy hunting! See you soon.
