Sarah Pennington shares the role of Students with Disabilities Officer with Gigi Bruschi.
Sarah says: "Hi I’m Sarah! I’m pretty much a local girl, I’m from St Helens and was schooled in Wigan so I haven’t even moved from the county I grew up in! I’m a second-year psychology student hoping to do clinical psychology as I have always wanted to make a difference and help people who suffer from mental health issues. I’m a big believer in the idea that everyone should have the same opportunities in life, and no one should be made to feel like they’re missing out. As you can tell, I’m a huge advocate for rights for those with disabilities, mental health issues and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I’m also massively interested in politics and I am keen on making a change to stop climate change and global warming as I believe our planet needs to be protected for the generations to come. You’ll most likely find me in the SU or the Learning Zone and I’m always free to talk to anyone anytime. Not only do I care massively about everyone, but I know how hard things can get sometimes and how difficult it is to reach out so I will always be happy to help anyone in need and reach out to the services necessary on their behalf if that’s what they want."
