We invite you to come along to our Careers Workshop with Ian Newman.
Ian graduated from Lancaster University with an Economics and Politics degree. He’s been a Career Mentor on the University’s Career Mentoring Programme since it was launched in 2008 and has mentored over 200 students. In November 2023, he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship for the extensive support he provides to the University and its students on careers and employability. He supports up to around 25 students each year. Ian has worked for The Home Office, UK Border Agency and the Department for Work and Pensions. His last role there was as Deputy Head of Internal Communications, managing a team of up to 70 people at a variety of locations in the UK.
This workshop has been designed with a specifc focus on supporting student leaders and will cover the following topics:
