Join us in this first session of two in helping us support nature restoration through practical activities on campus. Hedges provide flowers and nectar for insects, berries and shelter for birds, and so much more.
We will meet at the ECOHub at 1pm before heading over to the Health Innovation Centre for the planting.
Our ECOWild sessions provide our community with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the natural world through wildlife observation and mindful activities. The project is underpinned by the 5 ways to wellbeing – enabling participants to connect, be active, take notice, learn and give – and the 5 pathways to nature connection to help them nurture their connection to nature, through contact, beauty, meaning, emotion and compassion.
Please ensure you are wearing appropriate outdoor footwear and clothing. If you would like to, you will be able to borrow waterproofs and wellies on the day from the ECOHub. Gloves and equipment will be provided. You are welcome to bring snacks and a drink with you as we usually have an al fresco tea-break during the session. We will provide tea for all participants.
No experience is required.
Please contact us on lusugreen@lancaster.ac.uk in advance of the session if you have reduced mobility or accessibility requirements.
