The Lancaster University Astronomy Society is soon celebrating 3 years of activity, with many successful observation sessions throughout the years. Our most successful observations are detailed in the other tabs above, accompanied with images!
We offer the opportunity to use a semi-professional observatory on the rooftop of the University's Physics Dept, with a 14" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope, a Coronado Solar H-alpha telescope, a smaller refracting telescope, and more! We encourgage you to bring your own kit if you have it!
We will attempt observations as often as we can, alongside the occasional movie night and kahoot quizzes!
Whether you have never had any prior experience, have always wanted to have a go, or have loved Astronomy like we do, this society will be a great opportunity to have a new perspective on the Universe and our home planet.
So join up here to get emails updating you on things, and like the Facebook page or follow the Twitter for more frequent posts.
Did I mention it's free?
