Silverdale Bouldering Trip

So this Tuesday (the 13th) we'll be running a small bouldering trip to the silverdale limestone, most likely Fairy Steps! Cars will be leaving campus at 11am from University House and we will be staying until late afternoon.

Fairy Steps is an extensive collection of small buttresses with an excellent range of problems to suit all grades. This is an excellent trip to come on if you want to try outdoor bouldering and there will be experienced exec and club members there to help those who are less experienced. The walk in is around 20 minutes and the crag is mostly very shaded.

Please make sure you bring:

  • Plenty of Water
  • Snacks/Lunch
  • Sunscreen
  • Climbing Shoes (Can be borrowed from the club)

As we don't have that many passenger seats for this trip, anyone with a bike is invited to join Matt and Charles who will be taking the train to arnside and cycling to the crag. You will need to grab a free "Making your own way there ticket" and buy a return train ticket to Arnside. We will be getting the 10:51 train.

Any questions please message Matt Rose
