Do you like working with children and young people, or is this something that you would like to try? Did you know that 1 in 5 employers are actively looking for volunteering experience on your CV? Are you looking for a paid student staff role?
If you answered YES to one or more of the above questions, our volunteer activity could be for you! Lancaster University Students' Union Children & Young People volunteering is both rewarding and a fantastic learning experience. We can help you to enhance your employability and gain transferable skills whilst you inspire pupils to gain confidence, learn new things, find a hobby or perhaps unearth a future career.
From the little ones at pre-school and primary to the heights of secondary school and college, we currently work in partnership with over 60 schools across the North West from Cumbria to East Lancashire. We are privileged to have the support of over 400 student volunteers and through your dedication and talent, we reach more than 10,000 pupils each year.
Lancaster University Students' Union Children & Young People volunteering offers a wide range of opportunities for Lancaster University students to be positive role models and share their university experience with young people. We want to widen participation, raise aspirations and improve awareness of Higher Education.
