Pres Trip
This is an excellent weekend where we all head off down to North Wales, do some sick boating and stay in a bunkhouse, and generally have a great time. We will all head down on the Friday evening/afternoon and then paddle Saturday and Sunday before returning to Lancaster for Sunday afternoon.
Dinner on Saturday will be included in costs. (Please say if you have any dietary requirements). You'll need to bring breakfasts and lunches and make your own arragements for dinner on Friday.
The bunkhouse we're using is in Capel Curig, and has heating, parking, bathrooms, a drying room, a full kitchen, and, most importantly, beds (though we need sleeping bags).
If you are signing up now you will probably be sleeping on the floor so will also need a sleeping mat etc.
Please bring:
1. Swimwear - enough for 2 days
2. A thermal layer to wear under your wetsuit (any kind of synthetic top is fine, just not cotton)
3. A pair of shoes that you can get wet (please no crocks or flipflops, an old pair of trainers is fine)
4. Spare clothes & towel - bring some warm clothes, as much as the weather should be nice you never know!
5. food/drink - snacks can go in someone's drybag or BA. Individually packed snacks like penguins are great
The best part of the bunkhouse is that it is the perfect place to play drinking games without annoying anybody (Drinking not required but fun is).
Everyone is open to come, regardless of paddling ability but as always, it is first-come, first-served; make sure to sign up as soon as possible.
However, we do require everyone to have been on at least one river trip and done a deck test in the pool. We strongly suggest doing this before signing up as tickets are non refundable.
Tickets are non-refundable and the prices should cover the bunkhouse and food, the cost of fuel which should be about £30 is not included and will go on the debt sheet along with any additional costs which may arise.
