Hello whitewater boaters,

Its that time of year again, the time where we go and smash York at some whitewater boating! This year it is Lancasters turn to host, so the racing will be held at Halton rapids. With this being our local rapids we should have some very fast times! This race is open to bascially anyone who has been outside in a boat before, though if you have any questions about ability feel free to get in touch.

As with previous years there will be 2 races:
- Womens Race (1pm)
- Open Race (2.30pm)
These races are ran in a time trial format with the top 3 fastest in each catagory scoring points.

As with any usual trip please bring:
1. Swimwear
2. A thermal layer to wear under your wetsuit (any kind of synthetic top is fine, just not cotton)
3. A pair of shoes that you can get wet (please no crocks or flipflops, an old pair of trainers is fine)
4. Spare clothes & towel - bring some warm clothes and a spare pair of shoes!
5. food/drink - snacks can go in someone's drybag or BA. Individually packed snacks like penguins are great

If you need to borrow some of the above kit, just message someone/the club.

We'll be meeting at the boat house at 11.30am ish to get kit sorted for everyone and we'll get on from there, this means car pick ups will be around 11am. Though this may change closer to the time due to Yorks ETA. 

As the SU will be paying for fuel costs this trip is free.
Please give at least 24 hours notice if you can't attend so we know not to pick you up.
