The Lancaster Forum 2022
The Lancaster Forum, a flagship event hosted by the Lancaster University Investment & Finance Society (LUIFS), is set to be one of the largest student-run conferences nationwide and the largest in the North West.
This conference brings together over 200 delegates and will see an array of 28 high-profile speakers in the areas of finance, economics, technology, and consulting to deliver thought-provoking talks on the issues and opportunities facing the financial landscape. This is in line with LUIFSʼ vision this year of demystifying and opening up finance to non-finance disciplines.
Previously established as ‘City Careersʼ, a day-long careers fair, we recognised that the passion and rigour students possess did not match the opportunities accessible in the North West region. We returned to the drawing board seeking to rebrand and aggrandise the fair into a conference beyond Lancaster, to equip them with integral skills required for a successful career and enhance connections to the industry. The Lancaster Forum will instil the most pressing issues such as sustainable finance, green investment, and inclusive growth to shape the minds of tomorrow. At the core of LUIFS, we believe educational and networking opportunities should be available to all, bringing diversity and inclusivity to the fore of the forum.

- The right of entry is reserved at all events.
- Breach of conditions or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall result in the patron being ejected from the premises.
- Unless specified, tickets are sold for an unreserved standing event.
- Tickets cannot be exchanged, transferred or resold for commercial gain.
- The Students’ Union reserves the right to alter or vary the content or timing of the whole or any part of the event due to circumstances beyond reasonable control without being obliged to refund or exchange tickets.
- The Students’ Union cannot take any responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property brought to an event.
- There will be photographers, videographers and live-streaming on site at some Students’ Union events. By purchasing tickets you are accepting that photographs may be taken of you during the event and that these may be released into the public domain; examples of uses include, though are not limited to, publication on the Students’ Union Facebook page, Students’ Union website and our publications.
