Heron Pot SRT (Single Rope Technique) Trip
SRT day trip, only suitable for those SRT trained. If you are not sure if you are SRT Trained, contact Helen Shaw at: hshaw.holly@gmail.com
For people departing from campus: 4 people who buy will be departing at 18:00 from the Hitchiker's Post on campus, for those unsure its the shelter/seating on the first roundabout as you come into the uni. (Put this into google maps: 54.010174090779266, -2.788569499848722). Make sure you buy the Member ticket: PICKUP FROM CAMPUS
For people getting the train to Clapham Station: 2 people will be getting the train that departs from Lancaster train station at 17:45, and arrives at Clapham (North Yorkshire) at 18:21. Get a single ticket, you will be picked up from Clapham station, then driven home after the cave. Make sure you buy the Member ticket: TRAIN TO CLAPHAM
The time in the cave will be approximately 2.5 hours, but this can vary.
Return to campus will be ~23:00.
You will need to bring:
- 2/3 thin but warm layers of clothing, (eg thermals + t shirt + jumper) that you dont mind getting dirty or wet
- A towel
- A change of clothes for the journey back
- Small snacks to take into the cave
We will provide all the caving gear required
