Hi all, we're thinking we'll head to Preston Wall this Thursday to make a change from Lancswall!
We've negotiated to get student night entry price for this Thursday only, so entry will be £9. Remember to mention you're with LUMC!
There is plenty of top roping and lead climbing, with a worthwhile amount of bouldering too!
If you've not done roped climbing at Kendal or Preston before, you will need to get signed off to do so on the evening. You can speed this up by pre-registering.
It should be obvious, but if you can't top-rope belay, don't attempt to. If you can't lead belay, don't attempt to. It's dangerous. There will be plenty of peeps around who are willing to teach though, particularly feel free to grab any exec members or experienced climbers (especially James or Charlie!) and get them to help you out if you fancy learning!
We will ask you the earliest time you can leave so we can sort people between cars and the minibus.
If you have any accessibility requirements, you'd like us to know about there will be a field for that too.
You will be able to borrow club gear (harness, Shoes, belay plate), but these must be returned at the end of the evening because our gear audit is the next day.
