Exiled Voices: Refugee Lives on Screen
Join us later this month for a free screening of Capernaum + Q&A where the topic of refugees on and off screen will be discussed.
The conversation will be accompanied by two wonderful people, Dr Ala Sirriyeh (Sociology Department) and Prof. Bruce Bennet (Film Department) who will use their expertise in both refugee film and studies of migration to help understand Capernaum and the on-going displacement of people around the world. We hope many of you can join us. After the Q&A we will be inviting everyone to Sultans, where we can continue our discussions (and yes, there will be a cheeky discount for our audience).
This event is brought to you by a collaboration between Take 2 and STAR who are working in partnership with Sanctuary Cinema Club. We also thank Creative Exchange for their support in bringing Capernaum on screen, and for making this event accessible for all.
