From the Bar to the Pitch
Cartmel College has a reputation for our Bar Sports Team from dominating in pool, darts, table tennis and dominos, as well as our competitive and recreational leagues in Football and Netball. You can join a college team throughout the year, just ask the relevant College Captians and Sports Officers for timings and information.
The most importing sporting event of the year, Patriots, is in Lent Term. This is where Cartmel defeats (most of the time) Furness College in an epic battle of strength, agility and cunning. The burgandy and purple colleges go head to head in tense and exhilarating games of Bar Sports, E-Sports, Netball, Football, Ultimate Frisbee, Dodgeball, etc. The weekend is buzzing with college spirit, and even those who do no participate in sports cheer for their fellow Cartmelians and join the teams for a night out to celebrate (the most likely) win of the year! #RideTheGriffin #WeAreCartmel
