Langdale day trip 11.6
This will be a trad climbing trip to the lakes valley of langdale. The venue may change, as we'll head wherever the forecast is best; we could end up in the Lake district, the Yorkshire dales or the Lancashire quarries.
This trip is a great opportunity for independent leaders as well as people who haven't trad climbed much or at all.
As ever make sure to bring appropriate shoes and clothes for mountainous terrain. It could be cold and wet so make sure you have plenty of layers and waterproofs. Bring lunch, plenty of snacks and water. We will be out the whole day. Bring all climbing equipment you have including helmet, harness, belay plate and nut key. if you are a leader you'll need a rack and ropes. If you don't have all of these items please indicate in the questionnaire.
As said earlier we are at the mercy of the weather so its unclear where we'll end up. The approach may (or may not) take a little over an hour on steep, awkward ground. There will not be access to toilets at any of the potential venues. we will be exposed to whatever conditions the day gives us such as wind, rain and maybe heat. if you have any accessibility issues please indicate as such in the questionaire.
