Langdale Trip
Tickets go live at 6:30PM on the 8th
So we'll be running a daytrip this Sunday (the 12th). The weather looks slightly damp. As such, our plan A is to go scrambling (and if its really wet we'll just go for a walk) in Langdale from Sticklebarn. As such, we could end up on Jack's Rake or on one of the Harrison Stickle Grade 2s, or one of many, many other options. Should the weather be miraculously passable, we'll go rock climbing instead!
Should it be really grim, we'll cancel and issue refunds.
We'll leave campus early to make the most of the limited daylight available at this time of year; we'll depart at 9AM from the welcome centre. We'd appreciate you being a bit early as we can sort out everybody's plans and gear for the day beforehand.
This will probably be a fairly full-on day. You'll need good waterproofs and outdoor kit. You'll need to bring clothes for cold and/or wet weather. If you don't have any of the following, say so on the form and we'll try and sort you out:
- Waterproof coat and trousers (very important)
- Lots of warm layers (pack spares!)
- Hat & Gloves
- Approach shoes / Boots
- Headtorch
- Food & water; pack a flask for a hot drink if you have one.
- Rucksack to pack it all in.
Get in touch if you don't have good gear and need to borrow some.
