This week we are heading to Preston wall!!!
This trip is open to complete beginners. Preston Wall is a fantastic place with loads to choose from like lead, top rope, auto belays and bouldering there is something for everyone with a variety of grades and styles to play on, as well as a gear shop with lots of shiny kit...
There will be cars heading there at the usual time of 6:15pm outside of University House, and we usually head back late ish and go to spoons if you fancy!
It's worth considering if you do not know how to safely roped climb then you will be restricted to the bouldering (still a massive area like lancs wall) if you would like to learn how to roped climb consider coming to our beginner sessions on Wednesdays, please contact a member of the exec about this. If you can competently roped climb that's great. either way please can everyone sign the waiver before we get there to make sure you are able to climb

All cars leave from campus at 6.15pm at University House.
We aim to run a group warm-up and cool-down although at the beginning and end of the evening, depending on the space available in the wall.
If you need shoes, please let us know on the questionnaire when you purchase the tickets.
There is a small ticket cost to cover the price of driver's car and fuel maintenance.
It costs £8.00 at a student price, so bring your student ID. Anyone with a punch card or membership can also use this here aswell.
As always, if you have any accessibilty requirements, please don't hesitate to let us know (you can message any of the exec on facebook or email lumcclimbing@gmail.com) and we can do our best to accommodate them. There are gender-neutral changing rooms and toilets.
