Preston Wall 14/12
Given LancsWall is still in the process of burning down, this week we'll be headed further south. Preston Wall is a fantastic place with loads of climbing to choose from, with plenty of lead, top rope, auto belays and bouldering. There is something for everyone with a variety of grades and styles to play on.
Cars will depart at 6.15 pm, from outside of University House.
If you do not know how to safely roped climb, then you'll be restricted to spending the evening bouldering. There is plenty of bouldering available (its pretty similar to Lancs Wall), so this shouldn't be a problem..
You'll need to make sure you've signed the waiver before you arrive to make sure you are able to climb:
If you've been to LancasterWall previously, you'll be able to boulder at Preston too, but if you want to be able to be roped climb, you'll need to spend a few minutes demonstrating that you know how to belay and tie on etc; if you're already signed off at the Uni Wall you should be experienced enough.
To help manage the wait to get into the wall, PrestonWall want to knows how many of us will need to be signed off to rope climb, so please say in the ticket questionairre if this is something you'd be interested in.

If you need shoes, harness or belay device, please let us know on the questionnaire when you purchase the tickets. We may also be able to provide single ropes for lead climbing; get in touch if you want to borrow one.
The ticket prive here covers the price of driver's car and fuel maintenance; you'll still need to pay entry to the wall.
We've negotiated a price of £8.60 entry at their student price, so bring your student ID and say you're with LUMC. Anyone with a punch card or LCC membership can also use this here as well.
