We will be running a trad learning day this coming sunday most likely at Long Scar in langdale, over the day you'll be paired up and taught by a leader many of the skills needed when trad climbing. This will include placing and evaluating gear, building anchors, rope managment, belays and even doing your first leads!!! 

You can also come along to learn progression skills to get into multipitch climbing such as guide mode, hauling, lowering, bailing, rigging & more! 

Unfortunately due to the pre requisites needed we ask that you only buy a ticket if you are already a comp 2nd (able to belay on halves, have seconded trad, can remove gear), if you are unsure if you fit into this catagory please contact our VP Chris Morris.

We will be meeting at university house at 8.00am on the 09/06 to handout gear and sort groups and most likely returning at around 9pm or later. The walk to the crag is roughly 45 mins on a good path with some mildly steep sections (1.2km with 170m of ascent), and there will be no toilet facilities at the crag.
