This Saturday we're running a day trip to Warton, which is one of the small limestone trad outcrops in the Silverdale area. It will be aimed at those beginning to trad lead. You will need to know how to sport climb outdoors and you will have competently seconded trad. Be at University house for 8:45AM.

This trip will involve teaching placing gear, building belays and questing up your first trad leads. This trip is also aimed for those who already have a handful of few trad leads under their belt and want to become more independant.

The day involves a 2 x 15-minute uphill walk on good paths, the pace will be flexible. Toilets are located at the base of the crag in a pub. Exec members will be in attendance as well as first aid trained LUMC members, each with a first aid kit containing emergency sanitary products. When purchasing a ticket please indicate any medical needs on the questionnaire. As a club, we aim to be as inclusive as possible, if you have any questions or other accessibility needs please don't hesitate to let us know. 

If you've got them bring: harness, helmet, shoes and belay kit, along with any other trad gear you own. If you're missing anything just drop Chris or Jack a message on Facebook and they'll sort you out! Additionally, you'll need food and water for the day, along with plenty of layers to wear - including waterproofs.
