Windy Clough Bouldering Trip
Tickets go live at 7:30pm on the 23rd
As per announcements we'll be running a bouldering day trip this coming Saturday to the local destination of Windy Clough! This crag has an excellent range of boulders, great for those who've never been out before, any mega-wads or anything in between.
The crag is about as local as you can get, and a brilliant one to get familiar with for your time at the uni, if the weather is good we'll be leaving campus at 9:00 am from the welcome centre, this may change dependent on forecast, however we'd ask all coming to be there a little early so we can adequately sort out cars and get everyone to the crag smoothly. As for the weather, it may require a bit of patience to wait for rock to dry, but we expect it to be clear and dry enough for a good day. As people start to get tired, we'll have the option of a spoons trip to end things off; it'd be nice to see plenty of you there too :)
If on Saturday the weather is dreadful, expect that we will instead go Lancs wall, or may look at the boulders and call it off - be wary this may increase the price of the trip for those without membership.

On the day, you'll need decent clothes for rain and the cold - it can get very windy (hence the name), so be prepared for it to be a little chilly at times. If you lack any of the following say so on the form and we'll try our best to sort you out:
- waterproof coat/(trousers can be good but there's a fair bit of shelter)
- plenty of warm layers (bring an extra layer or two, it will be colder at the crag)
- appropriate footwear for a steep, muddy approach
- climbing shoes
- food and water; pack for a full day - hot drinks are excellent too
- a decent sized rucksack
