Winter Skills Trip - Accomodation

IMPORTANT!  We know you are in a rush to buy these tickets, the information below is important so please ensure you come back and read it!!!

Winter Skills Trip

These tickets are for the accommodation for the Scotland winter skills trip, taking place from Friday 14th - Sunday 16th of January.

There are 2 batches for these tickets:

Saturday 18th Midday

Sunday 19th 6 pm

If on Sunday your preferred accommodation is no longer available and you no longer wish to come please message Juliane Bjerkan or Benn Clarke on Facebook or email lumcclimbing@gmail.com and we will be able to draw someone to take your place. Please don't buy a ticket for the alternative accommodation if you no longer wish to come and we won't be issuing refunds (without a valid reason).

This ticket is just for accommodation. There will be course-specific tickets available on Monday (you will be able to indicate any gear you need to borrow on this ticket).

Emails:

We will be sending out further emails with more details closer to the time of the trip - so please check your university emails regularly especially in the week preceding the trip. Until this point, you should have received 2 emails from us - one confirming your place on the trip and the other detailing kit list and ticket release times. If you did not receive either of these emails, please contact us as it's important we work out why so that you receive the important information that we will be sending out.

Food:

We will provide food on Saturday night and provide basic breakfast and lunch materials. You will need to bring your own evening meal for Friday and extra snacks to have during the day are recommended. You may also wish to bring something for Sunday night, or you could buy something from the service station or make a sandwich in the morning.

Accessibility:

If you have any accessibility requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them. There will be a quiet space on the trip for anyone who needs to take a moment out of the chaos!

Kit list:

Here is a reminder of the kit list:

When you buy the course ticket, we will ask about the kit you can borrow. As always, please ask if you still need to borrow something as someone might be able to help you out. If we don’t have something you can borrow, it’s possible another member might be happy to lend you something.

Whilst I know this may seem obvious, it is likely to be VERY COLD so please bring lots of layers. It’s also likely your clothes will get wet, so bring changes of clothes too!

In addition to what is below Campers must have the suitable gear to be camping in January (Including tent, roll matt and sleeping bags). You may be able to borrow some kit from the club, if so please message Will Rhodes or Matt Fleming on Facebook or email lumcclimbing@gmail.com
