On Friday the 24th Women's+ are headed to PrestonWall. It's a fantastic place with loads of climbing to choose from, with plenty of lead, top rope, auto belays and bouldering. There is something for everyone with a variety of grades and styles to climb on. This trip is open to complete beginners.

Cars will depart at 4:30pm from outside of University House. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so we've got time to sort gear and cars.

It's worth noting if you haven't done roped climbing at an LLC centre before, you'll need to fill out the registration form and complete a basic competency test at the wall.

If you do not know how to safely roped climb, then you will need to be supervised; please grab a 'supervised passenger' ticket. We have some of our women+ exec & Ben (he/him) our EDI officer to help you with this if needed! If you would like to learn how to roped climb before this, consider coming to our beginner sessions on Wednesday; please contact a member of the exec about this - or grab a ticket! If you can already competently roped climb that's great, just grab a 'passenger' ticket.

We aim to run a group warm-up and cool-down.

If you need shoes, a harness, belay device please let us know on the questionnaire when you purchase the tickets. We may also be able to provide single ropes for lead climbing; get in touch if you want to borrow one.

The ticket price here covers the price of driver's car and fuel maintenance; you'll still need to pay entry to the wall.

We're going at their Magic Time so it's £7 entry. Anyone with a punch card or LCC membership can also use this here as well.

PrestonWall has gendered bathrooms. The wall can be busy and noisy; if you have any attention-deficit or auditory conditions then please notify our EDI. Exec on the trip will be there to support members if they need to find a quiet space.
