Womens+ trip to giggleswick
Hi Folks!
So instead of womens+ at the uni wall this week, we're heading to Giggleswick for some Sport climbing. We'll be leaving from outside University House at 10am, see you then!
This will be ideal for those of you who are keen to become more confident at leading outdoors or try pushing your grade. For this trip there are only 'independent pair' tickets for those who feel quite happy sport climbing outside (please give this a read). Unfortunately this trip is not for complete beginners; we'll be running other trips in the coming weeks so keep an eye out.
The forecast is ok but we may get rained on, so pack waterproofs and warm clothing, along with plenty of food and water (and maybe even revision for the dedicated/crazy!). Its also always a good idea to pack a headtorch if you have one. The climbing at giggleswick is accessed by a steep, loose and muddy path, and takes 5/10 minutes to reach the crag, so wear appropriate, sturdy footwear. Walking beneath the crag can also sometimes require care as its quite a steep slope, and there are no toilet facilities. Please let a leader or an exec member know if you're struggling at any point in the day.
