Misbah Ashraf
she/her | Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive, Misbah leads the operations of the Students' Union coordinating the whole staff team and all of our projects and initiatives. With the direction of the Trustee Board, she is responsible for advancing the strategic direction of the Union and ensuring we consistently provide excellent services and experiences for the student body at Lancaster.

Charlotte Barker
she/her | Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive
Charlotte is the personal assistant to the Students' Union's Chief Executive. She provides administrative support to them and helps the Senior Leadership Team. She is also the Secretary for the Trustee Board and its sub-committees.
Jane Morgan-Jones
she/her | Head of Finance
As Head of Finance, Jane leads the Finance team within the Students' Union. She is responsible for the overall financial management and relevant reporting for the organisation, as well as ensuring that financial procedures such as budgets and purchasing are controlled and provide an effective service to students and other stakeholders.
Chris Cottam
he/him | Head of Advocacy & Governance
Chris provides leadership to a range of departments in the Students' Union including Advice, Voice, Communications, IT and Societies & Student Communities. Chris is also the Designated Safeguarding Lead and Data Protection Officer for the Students' Union.
Tony Camp

Tony enjoys leading the excellent teams that run the Sugarhouse, LUSU Shop, SU Living and Events & Commercial Marketing; helping to develop exciting entertainment and cost effective services for students at Lancaster.
Paula Kinsella

Paula provides behaviour lead leadership throughout the Students' Union. She is highly experienced in HR people policies, employment law, and learning development, allowing her to support our teams to be the best versions of themselves.

Vicki Greenwood
she/her | Advice Service Manager
Vicki manages our Advice Service ensuring that our team delivers high quality, professional and impartial advice to students, predominantly on academic and house matters.
Laura Blakely
she/her | Student Advice Caseworker
As part of the Advice Team, Laura helps students to navigate university processes, housing issues and wellbeing support; from how to submit an academic appeal to checking tenancy agreements and accessing counselling support. The team are her to advocate on behalf of every student we support.
Eliza Redfern

As a Student Advice Caseworker, Eliza works with the Advice team to offer independent and non-judgmental advice to students on a range of matters including academic and housing issues.
Student Voice
Frank Longdon
he/him | Student Insight & Voice Manager
Frank manages our representation and democratic functions, as well as our political and campaigning work as a member-led organisation. He also manages our Insight Team who conduct research to help us better understand students and their contexts to inform our work and representatives.
Chih-Hsiang Lo

Chih-Hsiang works closely with the Vice President Education to support Academic Reps in every department at Lancaster in order to help them represent your academic interests such as programme content, timetabling, assessment and feedback, and teaching quality.
Societies & Student Communities
Pat James

Pat leads the Societies and Student Communities team in the Students' Union supporting over 150 societies, nine College Execs, six Liberation & Campaign Forums and four student media groups.
Jemma Cliff
she/her | JCRs & Student Communities Assistant
Jemma's role is all about supporting student leaders, working particularly closely with the college JCR Executives, Postgraduate Board and Liberation & Campaign Forums. Day-to-day she works to ensure these leaders feel engaged and supported in their roles by organising training, listening to feedback and facilitating connections.
Polly Mascord

As Societies Assistant, Polly provides advice for societies, assisting them in coordinating activities and helps with their day-to-day running, working with other teams in the SU to ensure societies receive funds, promote events, and prepare new execs for their roles, as well as answering any queries societies may have.

As Sport Development Manager, Abby manages the Students' Union Sport Team which deliver student sport from recreational level, college sport and our university competitive BUCS teams and intervarsity sport. Her role also includes project managing our intervarsity event with York; Roses.

Aimee Rostern-Fraser

Aimee leads the Events team in delivering unforgettable experiences, entertainment and events for students at Lancaster. She coordinates our dedicated team of student Crew staff and project manages a range of significant Union events including Welcome Week, Christmas Markets and end of year celebrations.
Callum Slater

Callum supports the Events team with the design, planning and delivery of high-quality student entertainment and events. He is particularly interested in how events can be used as a tool to promote belonging, develop student leadership, build communities and enhance mental wellbeing.
The Sugarhouse
Sarah Gray

Sarah leads the team at our student nightclub in the city centre, the Sugarhouse, by creating safe and fun events whilst teaching student staff valuable skills for life after university.
Adam Dowdle

Adam is the Assistant Manager at the Sugarhouse having worked there for over 7 years in different roles. He is passionate about providing a safe, amazing space that all students can enjoy.
Harry Martin

Harry completes many of the daily and nightly tasks in the club and is the main point of contact for student staff with any issues that might occur in a night.
Martin Hedley

Martin helps to run Sugarhouse, ensuring students have safe and memorable nights out. He is also focused on developing the commercial opportunities available to the Sugarhouse.

Allison Cooke

Allison manages the LUSU Shop. Your on-campus supermarket where all the profits go straight back into supporting the work that we do. Found on the South Spine, near Grizedale College, our offers a huge range of everyday essentials, hot and cold snacks, coffee, stationery and much more.
Yvonne Woodburn

Yvonne supports the team at LUSU Shop often working on the shopfloor and tills. She's also responsible for preparing our delicious range of freshly baked goods each morning.
Zara Murphy

Chloe supports the LUSU Shop team to provide a great experience for students on-campus. She helps by ordering and accepting stock, merchandising and liaising with suppliers and customers.
SU Living
Joanne Aldred

Joanne is the manager of SU Living: our student housing service providing LU accredited homes for students studying at Lancaster University. We help to find homes for undergraduate students, postgraduate students and their families.
Jane Fish
she/her | Housing Assistant
Jane's main aim is to help students to find a home, navigate through the maze of housing and support them through their student experience. Living away from home can be daunting for the first time and Jane mainly tries to troubleshoot any problems to improve their living experience.
Chris Parkinson-Curzon

As part of the SU Living team, Chris works on a portfolio of privately owned student accommodation within the city of Lancaster. In his role, he helps to manage everything from maintenance to energy bills, viewings to tenancy contracts and property cleaning to student events. Chris wants to be here to help make sure our students have the best possible experience at university.

Iain Thorley

Iain leads the communications and design team responsible for spreading the message about all the great projects, campaigns and events that the Students' Union is involved in. This involves coordinating a range of activities including graphic design, photography, branding, social media, website, articles and newsletters.
Shannon Daniel

Shannon supports the comms and design team to showcase the work of the Students' Union. This involves lots of activities including coordinating social media content, updating the website and writing news articles.
Imogen Hargreaves
she/her | Communications Production Assistant
Imogen supports the comms and design team, focusing on creating video content for the Students' Union. She also helps with other SU promotional material such as the website, articles, and social media in order to support the work of the Students' Union.
Finance
María Melián
she/her | Management Accountant
As Management Accountant, María helps to produce accurate, timely and clear accounting records and management information for the Union and its trading operations. She also assists in the preparation of budgets and reviewing balance sheets.
Elena Cartledge
she/her | Finance Coordinator
Elena helps with the day to day running of the Finance office, particularly focusing on the Union's trading services like the Sugarhouse, LUSU Shop and SU Living. If you ever need anything relating to finance then just pop in to see Elena and the team; the door is always open!
Penelope Tollervey

Penelope assists in keeping accurate financial records for the Union including purchases and sales. She is mainly focused on the Charity side of the Union and is the main contact for queries from JCRs, societies, clubs and LCOs.

Paul looks after the IT infrastructure in the Students' Union providing technical support and advising on digital projects and initiatives. He also manages the UnionCloud system.
