Could you chair the Union Assembly?
Following the re-development of our Union Assembly, the Students’ Union are looking to appoint a Union Assembly Chair and Deputy Chair. This is a paid position and will last for the next 6 months.
The new Union Assembly is a body of 51 student leaders from across the Students’ Union: Full-Time Officers, Liberation & Campaigns Officers, Society leaders, Sports leaders, Academic Reps, and College Presidents. The Assembly is due to meet 6 times over the academic year, twice a term. Read more about Union Assembly here.
The successful candidate will be responsible for chairing upcoming Union Assembly meetings; ensuring all important matters are discussed, and that the diverse membership are all able to speak, debate, and vote equitably. We also seeking to appoint a Deputy Chair, who will be available to support or replace the Chair where necessary.

To apply, please complete the application form. The form includes a series of questions against our selection criteria and we ask that you include a copy of your CV. When preparing your CV, please make sure to include voluntary experience in the Students’ Union and beyond.
Applications will be shortlisted, and candidates interviewed, by our appointments panel made up of 6 current Union Assembly members: two Full-Time Officers, two Liberation & Campaigns Officers, and two College Presidents.
