We hosted the parties standing in the Lancaster & Fleetwood Constituency at a General Election Question Time event on campus tonight.

Chaired by students' union Vice-President (Union Development) Hannah Prydderch, the event offered students chance to ask questions on a wide range of topics, including education, climate change and Brexit.

Taking part in the debate were:

• David Shaw (representing candidate Leanne Murray) from the Brexit Party
• Louise Thistlethwaite from the Conservatives
• Caroline Jackson from the Green Party
• Cat Smith from the Labour Party
• Peter Jackson from the Liberal Democrats
