In light of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic the Students’ Union has taken the decision to cancel a number of events in the interests of students health and safety.

The events that have been cancelled are:

Annual General Meeting

BUCS Fixtures

Active Lancaster

Farmers’ Markets

Sports Clubs Training

The Roses Rally

The Rainbow Run

Roses 2020

Extravs 2020

The decision to cancel was taken with the best interests of students in light of this current public health emergency.

The Students’ Union has also written to societies, asking them to consider the current situation and whether they want to think about cancelling events.

It has already been announced that Sugarhouse is closing as a temporary precaution.

At the moment the Roses training events scheduled over Easter will be going ahead, and the Roses events themselves have not been cancelled. However, this is a developing situation and advice from the Government may well change and affect these events in the coming weeks.

Please keep checking with club officials and the students’ union website for any further information about those events.

If you have any queries, please email help@lancastersu.co.uk.
