Wednesday 30-06-2021 - 13:11

Extravs are finally here: Here is everything you need to know before you go

Showing Symptoms?
If you are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19, do not come to the event!
You should:
•    Get a PCR test (test that is sent to a lab) to check if you have COVID-19 as soon as possible.
•    You and anyone you live with should stay at home and not have visitors until you get your test result – only leave your home to have a test.
•    Anyone in your bubble should also stay at home if you have been in close contact with them since your symptoms started or during the 48 hours before they started.

Get your Lateral Flow Device (LFD) test done!
Before entry to the events, you will need to show evidence of a negative Lateral Flow Test taken in the preceding 48 hours. You’ll need to show us the NHS text message or email that you get when the result is registered. Do not bring the test cartridge as this will not be accepted as proof of a negative test.

You can collect tests from:

  • College Porters Lodges
  • Security Reception
  • University House Reception
  • The Library
  • Sports Centre

You can also pick them up at most pharmacies, there is an online checker to find your nearest one.

We also strongly encourage you to also take an LFD test 48 hours after the event, you’ll need to do one before you travel home from the University regardless.

Refunds
If you’re having to isolate or no longer feel comfortable attending, we’re more than happy to offer you a refund.

To do this please email:

extravhelp@lancastersu.co.uk to request your refund. We’ll need names and ticket numbers to process this.
eat@lancaster.ac.uk to cancel or amend a table booking.

Making changes to a table plan?
We appreciate that a lot of people are having to change their plans at the last minute due to isolation and the like so if you have any changes to make to your table booking, please email eat@lancaster.ac.uk.

To make things easier, please send names and ticket numbers when making any changes

Not got a table booking in yet?
Unfortunately, we can no longer accept further table plans. If you have not yet booked your table, we can longer guarantee entry.

From this point, you can email directly to eat@lancaster.ac.uk to see if we can accommodate you but if you do not receive a confirmation you will have to chance a walk up.

With walk ups, we will do our best to seat you but please be aware there may be a considerable wait and a table is not guaranteed.

If we are unable to seat you on the night, you will receive a refund.

CHECKING IN
Before going into any of the events, you’ll need to check in and get a wristband. Please remember when queuing, you need to remain socially distanced from anyone not in your household or Extrav bubble.

Once you have arrived at the event, we would encourage you to remain there but if you do need to leave, you will be allowed re-entry with your wristband. We just need to minimise people moving around unnecessarily.

BREACHES OF COVID SECURE PROTOCOLS
There are so many things we all have to get right for all of the events to happen so we’re putting in place strict guidelines and enforcements.

We’re operating on a one warning rule; for any breaches of Covid-security, attendees will receive a warning. After this, attendees will either be refused entry to the event or removed from the event area.

Whilst this may seem severe, we have to make sure that our controls are followed so none of the events are put at risk.
