Last weekend Lancaster’s Dance Society, LUDanS, travelled to Newcastle University for competition, where they achieved outstanding results in many of the categories.
Up agaisnt though compertition the team palced 3rd in Intermediate Jazz, 2nd in Advanced Jazz, Advanced Street and Lyrical, and 1st in Intermediate Ballet.
Lysh, LUDanS Competition Coordinator said ‘On Saturday we visited Newcastle University dance competition for the first time! It is one of the biggest competitions we attend, with a very high standard. LUDanS performed amazingly and managed to place in 5 of 8 categories. I am so proud of the hard work shown by everyone on the squad and I’m really looking forward to our next competition in two weeks!’
LUDanS also have their upcoming annual show coming up on the 10th and 11th of March, which is a particularly big one as it’s the anniversary of the first show ever. They will also be participating in another competition in March, this time in Sheffield.
