LUSU Priority Ballot 2023

Over the last week-and-a-half we asked you to tell us what you care about and what you would like the Students’ Union to focus on via our Priority Ballot.

632 students told us their top three priorities, casting 1895 votes at Refreshers Fair and online.

There is a clear and strong desire from students for the Students’ Union to focus its attention on the cost of living crisis(45.4% of respondents chose this option) and mental health and wellbeing (43.4% of respondents chose this option).

Over a quarter of respondents prioritised tuition fees (free education) (26.1%) and public transport (25.5%).

Quality of teaching and learning (21.5%); maintenance loans, grants and scholarships (19.9%), and climate emergency (17.7%) were also notable priorities for students.
