We've completed our annual search for the team who'll represent Lancaster in this year’s University Challenge team.

The team is captained by Holly Lawton who will be quizzing alongside Daniel Green, Stephen Ford and Matt Roscoe, with Taran Taank as their reserve team member.

We ninety applicants with a written test, from which eight challengers were selected and then placed against each other in a format similar to the show.

The two teams, named the Lancaster Roses and the Lancaster Ducks, competed whilst observed by a judging panel made up of Amanda Chetwynd (Provost), Ian Meeks (VP Education) and Ann Kreztschmar (LEC Researcher and previous show contestant).

The Lancaster Ducks won the competition with a final score of 245-95, although our official University Challenge team is made up from members of both of these teams following the judge’s decisions.
