The Students’ Union and the Sports Centre have come to together to recognise the achievements of our sports clubs within their club activities both on and off the courts and pitches and also in and around campus.

After nominations were put forward from the board, October’s winner has been voted by the panel and announced as Lancaster University Netball Club!

Lancaster University Netball Club has had a tremendous start to the term with all three teams winning all of their games in the two of the three BUCS league Wednesdays so far. Since before the start of term, the club have supported University open days, carried out a resilient preseason regime, continued to build positive relationships with the college and recreational netball leagues on campus. The club have sustained their role as a thriving focus club with excellent attendance at training as well as plans in place to receive guest coaching sessions from an England Netball player. They have also ensured all of their Sport Lancaster membership processes have been completed on time and attended all the essential exec trainings required by Sport Lancaster Plus clubs.

The 1^st and 2^nd teams both have their next home fixtures this Wednesday afternoon, so come down to the sports hall and support!

Club of the month will be awarded again at the end of November to a different team so watch this space.
