In the heartbreaking absence of our annual Roses tournament, many of you got stuck into Virtual Roses this weekend!

The event was organised by VP Activities, Victoria, in collaboration with the York VP Sport as a celebration of the annual tradition.

Lots of you got involved, dug out your old Roses T-shirts and striped on the red war paint throughout the weekend. Staff, students and alumni, baked Roses cakes, set up intricate obstacle courses for their pets and created Roses themed masterpieces. Whilst lots of our clubs and societies competed in fierce virtual Sports Challenges, from flashmobs to toilet roll 'keepie uppies' and kayak crafts. It was a fantastic weekend of virtual fun for students, past and present, to fill that Roses shaped hole in our lives.

Although the weekend concluded in a narrow York win, we know what colour Roses would have been this year 🌹 #RosesAreRed #TeamLancaster
