Recycling Site Visit - A1 Skips
Lancaster University Students’ Union invites you to visit A1 Supa Skips! Following on from the City Council waste processing site trips at the start of Michaelmas term, we will now follow the journey of recycling from campus.
A1 are responsible for collecting all recycling and bulky waste from campus, including collecting the coffee cups from the recently implemented coffee cup bins. On Saturday 2nd February we will visit the site at St George’s Quay, Lancaster City Centre to understand how their recycling process differs to the large-scale operations we saw at Middleton and Leyland. This opportunity will allow access to the warehouses to view the sorting processes involved in our recycling. You can read about our previous visit to the site HERE
Transport costs from campus will be covered by Lancaster University Students’ Union and details to be announced soon to participants. Alternate arrangements can be made to meet in town and walk to the site for those living off-campus.
