Rep Academy Skill Session - What are reps, what does the union do, what support is there?

**This is an event for appointed academic reps only**

The Rep Academy is your chance to do more as a rep, and learn some transferrable skills in the process. Skill Sessions like this one grant you 2 points in the Rep Academy.

What are reps, what does the union do, what support is there? This session is for those of you looking to become more familiar with the representation system at Lancaster, and how everything falls into place. This is a great introductory session and gives you the chance to better understand your role, and what you can do as a rep, before things start getting busy. You'll learn what reps have been able to do in the past at Lancaster and what powers you have; you'll also learn what the students' union does in all this, and how we can support you along the way.

This session takes place before the main induction event. The rep induction event is mandatory, and takes place on Saturday, 3 November, staring at 9am in George Fox.

Places are limited, so please book now if you'd like to attend this session.
