Whether you’re looking to emulate fictional heroes such as Robin Hood; or inspired by the Olympics to take up a competitive sport that’s slightly off the beaten track, we can cater to the whole range of interests. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never even touched a bow before as we will give you all the basic training you’ll need to get going, as well as providing all necessary equipment. We offer free taster sessions at the start of each year where you can come and have a go. After that there's some compulsory coaching which will teach you all you need to know in order to start shooting independently.
After this the membership cost is £30 for the year, and this includes the use of all of the club’s equipment, affiliation to the national archery governing body as well as further training and coaching. If you already have shooting experience then you’ll only need to pay the £30 membership fee then you can jump right in.
All clubs that use the sports centre require members to purchase a Sport Lancaster Plus Gym Membership. You'll only need one then you can join as many sports clubs as you like.
We advise having a read over our constitution before purchasing your membership, which can be found on our website.
During first term 2020, we will only be accepting members with previous experience of archery. If you are a complete beginner, please wait until January 2021 to join the club.
