Description

LUDanS (Lancaster University Dance Society) is the largest dance society at Lancaster University!

The society offers weekly classes in a range of styles, including; Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical and Street. Classes are taught by our current society members, allowing anyone the opportunity to learn but also choreograph for others. Each year the society hosts a two-day dance show for all members to take part in, as well as offering two opportunities to audition for a place on our intermediate and advanced competition teams that compete against other universities across the country (whilst also hosting our own annual home competition). We also compete these dances in Europe's largest inter-university varsity competition, Roses, against York!

The society also provides numerous performance opportunities for both competition and non-competition members, hosts socials, puts on events and fundraises for two charities: Women's Aid and Dance Syndrome
