Love film? So do we! If you love to watch or talk about films, we're the society for you!
Here at Lancaster University Film Society we aim to create a friendly, relaxing place for any students interested in discovering new films, engaging with old classics, and being a part of our community built around our weekly screenings (voted for by you!), post-screening discussions, cinema socials, film marathons, bar crawls, quizzes, and anything else our members wish for us to put on.
We meet every Tuesday at 7pm in the Margaret Fell LT for our weekly meetings. Everybody is welcome. We then head over to Trevs (Furness Bar) after the film to chat about the film and anything and everything. It's a great time to meet new people and hopefully make some new friends!
Our screenings our free to attend, but we charge a membership of £5 for the entire year which allows you to vote for our weekly film, and gain access to our Facebook and WhatsApp groups as well as the NEW FOR 2024-5 Film Soc Library. We have an extensive library of films you are free to borrow as a member. Check out the list of DVDs and Blu-rays here. If you wish to try us out simply come to any of our Tuesday meetings and be sure to follow us on Instagram here and Letterboxd here.
