We are the student branch of the Green Party of England and Wales at Lancaster University – supporting and promoting the values and policies of the Green Party both on campus and in the local community. There are many benefits to joining the LYG, but to name a few, you will have the opportunity to get involved in local and national activism, attend protests, debate with others interested in green politics, learn more about the values of the Green Party, and support and join the local party. Not to mention become part of a friendly and welcoming community. 

Whether you're an experienced activist, ready to throw yourself into all things Green or just wanting to meet like-minded people, this is a space for everyone. You can be involved in as little or as much as you like. 

Membership of the Green Party isn't required, all we ask is that you support and promote our core values. However if you do want to become a member it's completely free!

We host weekly meetings/ socials – ranging from film nights and banner-making to quizzes, bar crawls and guest speakers.
