Description

Underwater Hockey (UWH) is a limited-contact sport in which two teams compete to manoeuvre a puck across the bottom of a swimming pool into the opposing team's goal. Players have a pair of fins to help propel them through the water, a small stick to push the puck, and a snorkel so you must play while holding your breathe! Whilst it was found in England in the 1950s, it is now popular all over the world, especially in countries like Austrailia, New Zealand, and Canada!

We are a friendly team who play competitively and for fun. We welcome everyone of all abilities, from complete beginners to seasoned professionals, you're sure to enjoy being part of our society! Most of our members have never played before, some haven't even heard of the sport, but once you try it you won't want to give it up. We play and compete as a mixed sex team. A gym membership is not needed.

As well as regular training sessions we hold a variety of socials. As the game is based underwater it's hard to socialise with the team in training, so we make an effort to get together above water and often hold socials ranging from nights out, team meals, trips, and chilled nights in.

Come and give it a go... you won't regret it!
