Lancaster University Volleyball Club

We are the only volleyball club at the University! We're a really inclusive club, and we have four highly competitive teams. Our men's and women's teams aim to perform to the highest level, and train hard to achieve great results. Our Men's teams are currently in Division 1 and Division 4 and our Women's teams are currently in Division 2 and 3. We currently train twice per week, alongside additional gym sessions, so you'll get loads of opportunities to bond with the other players, and develop some great friendships.

We're four teams, but we're ONE club, and we interact as such; we think it's hugely important to develop our team chemistry as much as we develop our technical skills. To do this, we host lots of creative socials, that are fun for everyone to get involved with - ensuring we have a great time on, and off, the volleyball court!

We also look to spread the volleyball spirit all across campus and we invite everybody to try our beloved sport out! Our recreational sessions and turn up and play sessions (run by LUSU) are widely popular and we invite you to join us for some casual games if you have never played before or if you would like to get involved and learn more about the sport. You would have the opportunity to play in a team and learn new skills as well as play some light-hearted games. We are looking forward to welcoming you all!

2024/25 Training Times:

• Women: Monday 20:15 - 21:45, Friday 17:30 - 19:00
• Men: Monday 18:45 - 20:15, Friday 16:00 - 17:30

Recreational Sessions 2024/25

We are happy to announce that Recreational sessions are available! These will be held on Tuesday 10:00-12:00 in the Sports Centre Hall 1. In order to come to these sessions you will need to buy a "Recreational Membership", which is £20 for 3 terms of this academic year or £14 for a term and is only available on the Student Union website. Sport Lancaster gym memberships will not be required.

Turn up and Play Sessions 2024/25

These will be held on Fridays 11-1pm. Please refer to the Union's main webpages and social media for more information on this. Equally, please contact us directly either via social media or email.
