If you’re going through a university or college disciplinary, we’re here and on your side. We can support you throughout the process and ensure that you’re being treated fairly and getting the best result you can.
The University has a disciplinary procedure that we can explain to you, help you complete any forms, and attend any hearings with you. You have a right to a representative in your corner, so don’t let the University rip you off.
Being accused of any form of academic malpractice can be a stressful and uncertain time, but we are here to help you fight your case - whether you've beeen accused of using AI in an essay, or cheating in an exam.
We can help in a number of ways:
At the Advice Service, we support students who either wish to report another student for breaching the University Discipline Regulations, or who may have been accused of breaching regulations themselves. We have a conflict-of-interest policy in place to ensure the same advisor does not advise on both sides of a case.
Commonly, though not always, these complaints are about some form of bullying, harassment, or sexual misconduct that has potentially occurred.
We can support you in a variety of ways, from explaining university regulations and processes, to helping you provide your version of events and accompanying you to any university meetings or hearings you may be asked to attend.
We can also support students who may be going through a lower-level disciplinary process via their College.
