Shape life at Lancaster University by voting in our ongoing referendums
One of the main ways you can have your voice heard and exercise your democratic rights is by taking part in the current referenda.
Two all student referenda have been triggered and it's now your chance to have a say.
The referendum questions agreed by the union’s Democracy Committee are:
These were triggered through a variety of methods; the referendum on our Articles is the result of a governance and democracy review currently being completed within the union, and the referendum on confidence in the University senior management team has been brought forward via a petition.
Students participating in the upcoming referendums will be able to vote “Yes”, “No” or “Abstain”.
Two campaign groups have formed for the referendums:
You have the opportunity to vote until noon Friday, March 12, in the VNC No-Confidence Referendum and noon on Saturday, March 13, to vote on the Articles (due to a delayed start).
