Random Acts of Kindness Week

In Week 15 was Random Acts of Kindness Week where we encouraged you all to do something kind for a friend, relative or colleague, as part of our Grow Our Minds mental health campaign.

Being ‘kind’ is scientifically proven to improve not only the mood of the person who receives the kindness but also for the person who gives the kindness too!

Kindness increases: the love hormone, energy, happiness, lifespan, and serotonin

Kindness reduces: stress, anxiety, pain, depression, and blood pressure.

Throughout the week we offered tips on how to be kind to those around you, with some of the tips being things that you could do without even leaving home. We were also be in Alex Square giving you freebies which we encouraged you gift onwards to those around you!
